April Fool Day’s Fun- The Spaghetti Tree

The BBC has recently discovered a new species of penguins- the flying penguins that can travel thousands of miles, all the way to South America, where they spend the summer.

Put that on a screen and you’ll definitely catch people’s attention. And even better, make them laugh :-)) So brighten up someone’s day with a funny video!

Oh and speaking of which we couldn’t not mention the very classic 1957 April Fool Day’s hoax- the spaghetti trees in Switzerland (a family affair indeed…)

The respected BBC news show Panorama announced that thanks to a very mild winter and the virtual elimination of the dreaded spaghetti weevil, Swiss farmers were enjoying a bumper spaghetti crop. It accompanied this announcement with footage of Swiss peasants pulling strands of spaghetti down from trees. Huge numbers of viewers were taken in. Many called the BBC wanting to know how they could grow their own spaghetti tree. To this the BBC diplomatically replied, “place a sprig of spaghetti in a tin of tomato sauce and hope for the best.” (source Museum of Hoaxes)

See it and believe it….Or not 😉 Give your screen a blast today and amuse your folks!

Happy April Fool’s Day everyone!
